Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
PCC Roofing, a division of Pacific Coast Contracting Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through pccroofing.ca, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through our website, our free-estimate and contact forms, and phone or email enquiries.
1. Information we collect
When you contact us or request a free estimate, we may collect:
- Your name;
- Your phone number and email address;
- The service you are interested in and any project details you provide;
- Technical data collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via cookies and analytics tools. Until you accept non-essential cookies, Google’s measurement tags receive this only in cookieless, non-identifying form (section 4); our hosting provider still processes your IP address to serve each page.
2. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry and schedule a free on-site estimate;
- Provide, quote, and carry out roofing services you request;
- Communicate with you about your project and follow up on estimates;
- Improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business — for example, our customer-relationship platform (HubSpot) used to manage enquiries, our financing partner (FinanceIt) if you request financing, and Google for analytics and advertising measurement as described in section 4. These providers may process your data on our behalf and are required to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Advertising measurement. If you accept non-essential cookies and then submit a form on this site, we also send your email address and phone number to Google Ads so we can tell which advertisement led to your enquiry. Before they are sent, those details are turned into a one-way code (a SHA-256 hash) in your browser, so Google does not receive them in readable form — but Google can match that code against its own records, so this is still a sharing of information about you. If you decline non-essential cookies, or have not answered the banner, none of this is sent. You can also limit ad personalization in yourGoogle Ad Settings.
Some of our providers, including HubSpot and our hosting provider, store and process data outside Canada, primarily in the United States. While in another country, your information may be accessible to that country's authorities under its laws. Contact us using the details below with any questions about cross-border handling.
4. Cookies and analytics
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Nothing non-essential is set until you choose. If you accept, we use Google Analytics to measure site traffic and Google Ads to measure our advertising. If you decline, or do not answer, no analytics or advertising cookie is set and no identifier is stored on your device; Google’s tags still receive basic cookieless signals from the pages you load and from actions such as sending a form (the page address, the fact that an enquiry was sent, and an approximate location from your IP address), which are used only for aggregate measurement and cannot be linked to you across visits. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, and most browsers let you block cookies entirely. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.
5. Data retention and security
We keep your personal information only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, deliver our services, and meet legal or accounting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
6. Your privacy rights
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
